The wild child is at it again!

I know I have not posted i a while. Things are going somewhat the same. Toby and I are still working obedience on Thursday night. Last Thursday night we were promoted to the next step toward heeling off lead. I know I should be excited but after agility class last night I am just totally drained. For the past several weeks Toby has gone back into the zoomies. That sucker is fast! But what good is it if he can't play with me? He still wants to do his own thing! I even had very yummy treats last night. Yes I stooped to the frozen Bill Jack. I don't like that stuff. I don't think it is very good for the dogs but right now all I want is to get Toby's attention long enough to train him. I thought for sure that pulling him from agility and doing flat work and obedience was the best thing ever. It would have been if that cured the problem. It didn't so I am back to square one. Now I am thinking about pulling him from class once more. I think this time I am just going to do some privates with Windle and see if we can work thru this problem. Some how Some where I will get an answer. When we get a light bulb moment I will be in absolulty glory.

I don't think pulling him from class is the answer - the class environment stress is what is obviously setting him off, and working on that in privates won't help the root of the issue. Just my two cents.

Listen to Jamie... Listen to Windle... Listen to Elizabeth... Do not pull Toby out of class. He is working you and being a turd. Let him know YOU are the boss, not him.

And you can do this without being mean. He's just gotten away with murder (like Boomer) for so long that behaving makes him zoomie. Stop stressing and have fun!
